After doing research in the cleaning standards of the major hotel chains in North America, this is what I found nothing, absolutely nothing. Oh, of course, reward points and clubs, health centers and free breakfast, sustainability and “green” programs and mission statements to the wazoo, but could not find a string that is published nothing about cleaning , washing and disinfecting their rooms.
You might think that a clean room, being the reason for a hotel, it deserves some standards, but there are no standards of cleanliness in the hospitality business. Each chain has its own rules. There is no universally accepted guidelines or standards when it comes to things like allowable levels of bacteria or detergent residues, suggested that the time intervals for the quilt and pillow washing or replacement, and there is a list of safe cleaning products.
